Optical Disc Corporation (“ODC”) is pleased to announce that Dubilier & Co. has acquired a majority ownership stake in the company. Dubilier & Co. is a private equity firm based in Stamford, Connecticut.

Dubilier & Co. will immediately assume control of ODC and lead the senior management team in ongoing operations. James Wu, Dubilier & Co. Partner, will take the helm as President and CEO. Richard Wilkinson, will no longer have any on going operational responsibilities, but he will remain on the Board of Directors as Chairman. Ed Nyquist, also a member of the Dubilier & Co. team, will take the post of Chief Financial Officer.

“The acquisition comes at an opportune time in the industry. There are very few players left in mastering, and ODC has a unique technology that is very well suited for the new format requirements.” states Mr. Wu who has some prior experience in the optical disc industry. Mr. Wu served on the Board of Directors of Nimbus Manufacturing, and he was a member of the investor group that acquired Nimbus Manufacturing and ledits Initial Public Offering.
